Tipi Livestock operated by Ron and Pam Haar is the source for prize
winning projects for youth in 4H and Future Farmers of America. On the
ranch are the flock of Suffolk and Dorset sheep, Bohr goats and pigs.
Llamas, Manx cats and show quality Paint Horses and Jack Russell terrier
dogs also live here. Pam and Ron are often on the road delivering
animals and youngsters to shows and sales in New Mexico, Oklahoma, Nevada,
Colorado, Nebraska, Montana, and Wyoming.
Tipi Livestock furnishes sheep for Mutton bustin', a popular sport for the
youngsters under 80 pounds at fairs and rodeos. Adventurous 4, 5, and 6
year olds climb on a frisky sheep and compete for the eating dirt award which is
judged by the spectators.
